Directed by Raja Menon Airlift went on floors on Saturday in a suburban studio in Mumbai.

Airlift is based on true events and is set in Kuwait pre and during the 1990 Gulf War. Airlift is the never-told-before true story of the world’s largest civilian evacuation in which more than 170,000 Indians were evacuated from war-torn Kuwait. Akshay plays Ranjit Katyal who masterminds, coordinates and leads this operation against all odds and in the wake of great personal sacrifice.
